The Beauty of Machining

The Snowy 2.0 plant and equipment fabrication workshop at Lobs Hole can fabricate and machine just about anything needed on-site.

Most recently, the team led by Connor McCallum, Chris Beimans and Warren Paine completed a critical lifting frame for the HRT traveller at Tantangara. They executed the job to the highest quality, meeting all relevant standards safely and within a tight timeframe.

The work being done is a real testament to what can be achieved when capability, teamwork, and pride in the job come together.

Once in use, fabricated items are seldom visible, or they go unnoticed as we focus on the work they contribute to. Before that, however, they are gleaming and new, so enjoy these photos of machining precision, excellence and craft.
