Meet the Team | Stacey Bugeja

Meet Stacey Bugeja, Mechanical Project Engineer at Future Generation Joint Venture, working on the iconic Snowy 2.0 Project! Stacey joined the project in 2021 and since, has been an integral part of the engineering team delivering Australia’s largest committed renewable energy project. Stacey’s current challenge? Supporting the assembly of the project’s newest TBM.

“I chose to work in the construction industry because I love solving complex problems and the dynamic nature of the work environment we are working in.

“I am a Mechanical Project Engineer working in Plant and Equipment – TBM department, which means I get to assist with the various phases of the machines including the assembly, commissioning, launching, maintenance and dismantle works.

“At the moment, I am focussed on assisting with the preparation works from a mechanical perspective for the assembly of the TBM 4. Part of that has even taken me overseas, which has been exciting.

“I had the opportunity to go to China to oversee the Factory Acceptance Test of the TBM, to ensure the machine met the technical and operational specifications needed and identify any potential issues before it began its journey to Australia.

“Being a part of this phase of the project and watching this machine come together has been an incredible experience for my career.”
