Meet the Team | Jessey Kelly

Meet Jessey Kelly, Rigger on the Marica crane crew for the Snowy 2.0 Project – underpinning Australia’s renewable energy future!

Two years ago, Jessey joined the team, seeking a new challenge and bringing with him a significant wealth of experience in underground mine expansion as a lead hand rigger.

“I’ve always been eager to explore opportunities and do well in different areas, not only with work but in everything I do. This project inspired me instantly as I could see the future being built, and I wanted to contribute to its success.”

The positive impact Jessey has on the project extends beyond his work as a rigger. His dedication to his colleague’s health and well-being has made him a truly invaluable addition to the team. This dedication has led to the development of the Marica Run Club, which has taken the site by storm and has fostered a culture of wellness, camaraderie, and inclusivity.

“I have found other responsibilities for not only myself but also my workmates, ensuring that we as a team are always smiling with high energy surrounding us.

“I’m incredibly proud of the run club I’ve created here at Marica, which focuses on mental health and encourages people to get out, be active, and connect with others. Our club’s mantra is simple: don’t be afraid to walk or run, talk, and communicate with people within our community here on site.

One of the run club’s eldest members recently shared with Jessey that “the club has been a lifesaver for him, helping him overcome mental health struggles and find a new passion for fitness. It’s moments like these that make it all worthwhile. Seeing the positive impact on our members’ lives is the greatest reward.”
