Meet the Polo Flat Warehouse Team

The Polo Flat Warehouse Operational team flies under the radar with the vital work they do. Cameron Shield, one of the supervisors, says their main functions are to check freight, unload, and re-load trucks.

“Pretty much most of the freight for the sites comes through here,” Cameron said.

“The crews check it all off and make sure it’s the right product and off it goes to site. Without the warehouse team completing these tasks, the project would come to a stop.”

Men’s size 9 safety boots are the most requested item at the warehouse. The team processes a very large number of requests for them followed by orders for shirts and gloves.

On an average day, the Warehouse Team unloads 10-20 deliveries and loads three to four semitrailers. The total weight of freight delivered by Polo Flat Warehouse in 2025 so far weighs more than two thousand tons and they processed 16,226 delivery dockets in the first six months of this year.

Cameron has seen an increase in warehouse activity.

“From when I first started to now, it’s massive. The size of the operation and the project has grown and we’ve gone from three workers to 12, plus management.
