Future Generation JV - Response to ANAO Audit of Snowy 2.0

Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) acknowledges the findings of the Auditor-General’s report and remains fully committed to the successful delivery of Snowy 2.0.

The report recognises the extraordinary complexity of one of the largest underground renewable energy infrastructure projects undertaken in Australia. It also confirms that, following extensive review in 2023, Snowy Hydro elected to continue delivery through FGJV under a revised contractual framework designed to address the challenges facing the project.

Since the reset, FGJV has continued to work collaboratively with Snowy Hydro and all stakeholders to improve project performance, manage risks and advance construction. We remain focused on delivering a safe, high-quality and nationally significant asset that will support Australia’s energy transition for generations.

Our priority is not to revisit past challenges but to complete the project successfully and deliver long-term value for Snowy Hydro, the Australian Government and Australian consumers.
